At one time, six children, Ora Smith Sr and Annadelle Scott Smith all lived in this house.
In the center of the door below the window was a knob to turn,
which rang a bell on the other side of the door.

I (Garland T. Smith Sr.) visited this house on 6/7/2008 and it was in the procss of being torn down. I called my Aunt Jean on a Cell phone and she called Frank Smith. They drove over to see the house one last time.
Frank is 86 years old. He says he is starting to shuffel when he walks.
I confiscated from the trash on the floor one of the old door casing rose-buds and the old screen latch that was used on bathroom door, also picked up a piece of the old steel decorations that was above the fire-place.
These will all be passed on to Garland T. Smith Jr. then I hope some day one of his sons Andrew Smith or Adam Smith.

On Curry Ave. a lot of the houses had a Side Porch with an extra door.
When the Trotting Track was open (in the back of the houses across the street but faces South Broadway). They would rent this bedroom out, and the renter had their own door to go in and out of.

Before he re-finished a pair of rocking-chairs. Sometime in early 1964.
One of these chairs was given to Garland T. Smith Sr. and it was used to rock Garland T. Smith Jr. and Cindy Smith to sleep many times.
Later the chair was loaned to his Step-Daughter and she rocked two more to sleep many times.
Later the chair was given to Garland T. Smith Jr. and Nancy who rocked Andrew and Adam Smith to sleep many times.
